We encourage you to be an active and informed participant in your own care. Accordingly, financial arrangements are the result of open and honest discussions of diagnoses and recommended treatment options. To confirm your understanding and agreement with our policies, please read the following:

Payment:

Payment in full is due at the time services are rendered, unless prior financial arrangements have been made. We accept most major credit cards and debit. Remote payment may also be available; if applicable, and with your consent, a secure link will be shared with you, and payments will then be processed through a third party. Cash and personal cheques are not accepted.

Estimates

We will do our best to provide you with an estimate for the cost of any dental procedure. These are merely estimates because it is often impossible to know exactly how much a specific treatment will cost until after it is done. For example, a cavity may appear small on a radiograph, but when the decay is removed, it is possible that the required filling is larger than originally anticipated, and as a result, increasing the cost of service.

Insurance/Government Benefits and Pre-determinations

Our office is committed to helping patients get the most benefit from their dental insurance and/or government benefits (collectively “Dental Benefit Plan”). However, insurance policies and benefit plans can be complex and vary greatly. Therefore, you are fully responsible for understanding, amongst other things, your Dental Benefit Plan, its associated coverage limitations, and fee guide restrictions. Treatment recommendations are based on your dental needs, irrespective of your Dental Benefit Plan’s coverage. Additionally, there may be a variance between the amount covered by your plan and the actual cost of a procedure. If your Dental Benefit Plan provider fails to pay the claim, or if the plan only covers a portion of your dental expenses, you continue to be responsible for payment of services rendered in full.

As a courtesy and with your consent, we will gladly send your claim electronically, on your behalf, to your Dental Benefit Plan provider provided that your company allows electronic submission.

Prior to scheduled appointments or when applicable, Limoges Dental Centre can send a pre-determination to your Dental Benefit Plan to obtain an estimated coverage amount to provide a clearer understanding of potential out-of-pocket expenses. As these are estimates, these are not guarantees of payment and final coverage may differ following treatment – for example, services may not be eligible for payment by your Dental Benefit Plan provider, even if initially indicated on a pre-determination, if services were rendered elsewhere.

If your Dental Benefit Plan fails to pay the claim, or if the plan only covers a portion of your dental expenses, you continue to be responsible for payment of services rendered in full. You remain fully responsible for all fees charged by Limoges Dental Centre, including any fees not covered by your Dental Benefit Plan provider regardless of the outcome of the pre-determination.

Dependants

A parent, guardian, or caregiver must accompany all dependants who are unable to consent to treatment. Every dependant will have a designated responsible party who is responsible for full payment of the services rendered. If the responsible party does not accompany the dependant to the appointment, treatment consents and payment arrangements must be made prior to appointment or non-emergency treatment may be rescheduled.
